Description:
Ambulatory General Internist needed to join this integrated health care system that provides care and services to people living in an eight county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes a Primary Hospital that is Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center, a secondary Hospital, and three critical access hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school- based health centers, and health partners in related fields..
This is a safe, vibrant and sophisticated upstate community set in a bucolic lake front village affording four seasons of cultural and outdoor activity. An unparalleled and inclusive community sports center. The Division of General Internal Medicine is an NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home, Level 3 Recognized practice. We use fully integrated EPIC inpatient and ambulatory EMR.
Job Summary:
Join a remarkable team of General Internists and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC).
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive Medical Care for patients 18 and above
Orientation time to ramp up schedule to a maximum of 8 patients per 4 hour session, 9 sessions per week
Protected administrative time Wednesday mornings
Dedicated nursing and administrative staff
Clinical teaching in General Internal Medicine and/or Geriatrics
Secondary call coverage a first call system in place with a nurse practitioner/physician assistant on call for your patients
Faculty appointment from Columbia University, daily interaction with medical students, Internal Medicine, and Transitional residents
Excellent technological and subspecialty support
