Adult Psychiatrist- Inpatient Unit

• Seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist for IP Behavior Health Unit
• Team is comprised of 2 MD and 1 APP, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, Nursing Assistants/Safety Assistants
• Locum/Per Diem Weekend Coverage
• 14-Bed Locked Inpatient Unit
• Daily group therapy and individual sessions
• Experienced discharge planning staff

Clinical Responsibilities

• Attending Psychiatrist to round daily on patients, admit and discharge to behavior health unit.
• Supervise APP's with occasional student rotations.
• Call is 1 week per month.
• Duties include direct in-patient consultation services and emergency room patient consults in conjunction with the mental health team.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited university.
• A valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number.
• Board certified in Psychiatry and completed residency in an ACGME accredited Psychiatry residency program.
