Endocrinology Inpatient Service NP 

Join UPMC Central PA — a growing, multisite health system — as an essential member of the UPMC Central PA Inpatient Endocrinology care team who is responsible for providing consultative medical care or services relating to Endocrinology within the hospital setting under the supervision of an Endocrinology physician. 

Job Opportunity:

• Evaluate clinical status of patients under appropriate physician direction and within scope of practice.

• Obtains and documents patient’s complete medical history.

• Performs and documents comprehensive physical exam.

• Rotates through hospitals, assisting with consults and follow-up visits.

• Implements treatment plans for Endocrinology related illnesses under indirect supervision.

• Perform follow-up with patients or families as indicated, by phone.

Job Requirements:

• Current Pennsylvania licensure as a registered nurse
• Board certification as a nurse practitioner
• Graduate from a registered nurse practitioner program with a master's degree in nursing
