About The Practice
HVI at UPMC Jameson and UPMC NHP, in collaboration with its Pittsburgh interventional colleagues, provides 24/7 STEMI coverage at both sites. Procedures include diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, TEE’s, cardioversions, temporary and permanent pacemakers, Intra-aortic Balloon Pumps as well as peripheral angiogram and intervention by vascular surgery. In addition, our UPMC NHP site provides full EP services including arrhythmia ablations and defibrillator/CRT device implantations, the full spectrum of structural heart procedures including TAVR and LAAO procedures, in addition to cardiothoracic surgeries. HVI's service at UPMC Jameson, and nearby UPMC Horizon, together are comprised of 5 full-time cardiologists (1+ interventionalist with 4 non-invasive cardiologists) as well as 5 APPs serving two suburban areas near Pittsburgh. In addition to these full-time providers, there are part-time services provided by 3 Electrophysiologists (including pacemaker clinic), a Heart Failure specialist, 4 vascular surgeons and 1 cardiothoracic surgeon. HVI’s outpatient office is located inside UPMC Jameson as are a full range of diagnostic services including 2 cath labs. HVI’s service at UPMC NHP is comprised of 3 full-time and 1 part-time interventional/structural cardiologists, 6 full-time general cardiologists, XX APP’s providing service in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, in addition to 24/7 coverage of EP, heart failure, cardiothoracic, and vascular services.
