Locums OB Hospitalist Physician
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Tenens Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. You will play a critical role in providing exceptional
maternal-fetal care to our patients. This position offers you the opportunity
to work in a dynamic and supportive environment while enjoying a flexible
schedule with a mix of 24-hour coverage shifts and in-house shifts.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 24-hour coverage shifts in Labor &
Delivery, managing obstetric emergencies, assisting with deliveries, and
overseeing the care of laboring patients.
·
Perform postpartum rounds, provide comprehensive
care to recently delivered mothers, and address any postpartum issues or
concerns.
·
Offer consultation services to pregnant patients
admitted to the hospital, including the evaluation of high-risk pregnancies and
the management of pregnancy complications.

Collaborate closely with the OB/GYN team,
nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient
care and safety.
·
Participate in educational initiatives for
nursing staff, residents, and medical students as applicable.
·
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient
records, including electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
·
Contribute to quality improvement and patient
safety initiatives within the OB department.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Active and unrestricted state medical license in Arizona.
- Proven experience in labor and delivery and postpartum care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make critical
decisions under pressure.
