Summary:
This position is responsible for the overall quality of care provided by the cardiovascular technologist's of the department. Plans, coordinates, directs and controls the work performed by the Cardiovascular Technologists. Performs standard and complex cardiovascular diagnostic procedures. Works directly with cardiologists in order to meet the specific requirements of the cardiac catheterziation laboratory.

Our staff of more than 700 Associates works with more than 300 active and consulting physicians to provide quality services to patients and their families. In addition to interventional cardiac services, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos is a Certified Chest Pain Center and an accredited Primary Stroke Center. We lead the region in da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery and offers a variety of specialty care services including medical imaging, rehabilitation, hospice, women’s services and more.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent is required.
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiological Sciences or Graduate with a degree in Allied Health Science or Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Associate degree program is required.
- A minimum of three (3) years experience with Cardiac Catheterization procedures is required
- Previous lead/supervisory experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab is preferred.
- Medical Radiologist Technologist (MRT) through Texas Medical Board (TMB) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required for graduates from a Radiological Technologist program.
- Registry from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS) or (RCES) required for graduates from a Cardiovascular Technologist program.
- BLS for Healthcare Worker is required.
- ACLS certification is required if caring for adult patients.
- PALS and ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment if caring for pediatric patients.
