Emergency Department Clinical Educator-Full Time

Summary:
The Emergency Department Clinical Educator is responsible for rendering and/or directing professional and nonprofessional personnel in the delivery of patient care by use of the nursing process. The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for seeing that the plan of care is followed through direct performance and/or leadership of other personnel in compliance with established policies and procedures. Assessing learning needs, plans, implements and evaluates continuing education and developmental program for associates within throughout the clinical setting not limited to specialty departments.
Requirements:
A. Education/Skills
· Graduate of State Board accredited School of Nursing or equivalent. BSN required or in progress, Master’s preferred. Certification in area of specialty preferred.
B. Experience
· Five years of acute Emergency nursing experience preferred
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Valid Registered Nurse license within the state of Louisiana
AHA BLS- Healthcare Provider within 30 days of hire; Instructor within 90 days of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire, Instructor within 6 months of hire.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire, Instructor within 9 months of hire.
Trauma Nursing Core Curriculum Provider within 3 months of hire, Instructor within 6 months of hire.
Telemetry Course within 6 months of hire
CPI Training within 30 days of hire
