Summary:
The Wound Care/ Therapy Aide is responsible for assisting in providing wound care and therapy treatments under the direction of a Nurse, Physical Therapist or an Occupational Therapist, and as ordered by the patient’s physician. Maintains equipment and documentation of equipment maintenance for patient care. Decision making, logical reasoning and good interpersonal skills are needed to assist in the delivery of patient treatment. This position requires assisting in providing services to wound care and therapy patients, ages between children/adolescents to geriatrics in a professional manner. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of CHRISTUS ST. PATRICK Hospital. It is expected that the associate demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The associate shall support the CHRISTUS ST. PATRICK’s strategic plan.
Requirements:
A. Education/Skills
High School Graduate preferred. On the job training.
B. Experience
None necessary. Previous involvement in patient care preferred.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
