Summary:
This position will serve as an information resource and liaison between physician requests for admission and/or transfer, nursing departments, clinical coordinators, and any area requiring admission (Surgery, ECC, PACU, Registration and inter-facility transfers) This position will make bed reservations and obtain bed assignments to ensure the patient receive the appropriate care to enable the best patient outcomes. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and multi task to coordinate a high volume of phone calls. This position collaborates with the nursing floors, EVS services and transportation services to maintain adequate patient throughput. This position assists with Call Center duties as needed.
Requirements:
- High School diploma
- 2 years of computer experience
- Microsoft Office with emphasis in Work, Excel, and data entry
- Fax, phone, headsets, and printers
- Filing, electronic scanning; Effective communication skills; Superb customer service skills
