Summary:
The Medical Surgical Ortho Neuro Inpatient Unit is a 22-bed unit specializing in surgical orthopedic and spine patients. This unit provides care most frequently for adult and geriatric patients. Primarily elective procedures, this specialty inpatient unit operates at an accelerated pace geared toward discharging patients safely to their homes with same day or next day discharge goals. RNs work very closely with MDs and their NP to provide an extraordinary level of post-surgical care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Louisiana State RN license
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and medical staff both verbally and written.
