Position Summary:

The Dermatology Practice of Dr. Kouba, M.D., is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join its thriving dermatology practice in Van Wert, Ohio, and work closely with Dr. Kouba, a top dermatologist and Mohs surgeon.

This unique opportunity offers six months of comprehensive, hands-on training under Dr. Kouba’s mentorship, giving you the chance to build expertise and advance your career.

After training, you will enjoy significant earning potential and professional growth in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Our practice offers a predictable, work-life-friendly schedule and generous holiday time off—with one week off for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct physical exams, take medical histories, and diagnose a variety of skin conditions.
• Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and perform treatments for various dermatological conditions.
• Procedures: Perform minor procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and other skin-related treatments.
• Patient Education: Provide thorough patient education on skin care, sun protection, and preventative measures.
• Documentation: Ensure accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
• Collaboration: Work alongside Dr. Kouba and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Required:
• Active Nurse Practitioner License from the Ohio State Medical Board
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field
• Current BLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
