Emergency Department Overview
- Hospital beds: 160
- 22 private ED beds
- 3 dedicated behavioral health crisis intervention rooms
- Brand new Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment and Healing (EmPATH) unit
- Annual ED volume: 35,000
- Coverage: 36 hours of EM physician coverage daily (9 and 10-hour shifts)
- 20 hours of EM APC coverage daily
- Teaching responsibilities for medical students, PA students, and internal medicine residents
- Collaborative hospitalist program
- EMR: Meditech Expanse with Ambient AI scribe and Dragon
- Griffin ED was awarded Department of the Year for 2025
Qualifications
- Board certified/board eligible ABEM or AOBEM (within five years of residency)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Collaborative approach with a strong focus on patient-centered care
- Now accepting full-time nocturnist, part-time, and PRN applications
