DeTar Hospital Navarro is licensed for 193 inpatient beds, has a medical staff of more than 238, and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO).

DeTar Hospital Navarro was the first hospital in the Texas Crossroads to receive Level III Trauma designation. In 2010 we purchased the Da Vinci robot and completed the year with over 250 cases. In 2011 our imaging services were expanded to include the Philips 1.0 Tesla Open Concept MRI

Job Description

DeTar Healthcare System is seeking a full-scope OB/GYN to join a highly successful, well-established private practice in Victoria, TX. Step into immediate volume with a practice where every physician currently maintains a waiting list.

Position Details:

Practice Atmosphere: Join a close-knit, family-oriented team of 7 OB and 1 GYN providers alongside dedicated mid-levels, medical assistants, and office staff. High physician retention and longevity reflect the quality of the practice and community.
Schedule & Call: Standard office hours with a manageable 1 weekend per month call schedule.
Facilities & Resources: Access to two convenient office spaces equipped with on-site lab and ultrasound, backed by a hospital with a Level II NICU and 24/7 CRNA anesthesia coverage for OB cases.

With a population of 60,000 (80,000 in the county) and a retail trade area of over 250,000, Victoria is a cultural, historic and economic hub for the surrounding seven counties. Residents enjoy the best of both worlds as Victoria combines the best of city living while surrounded by the majestic beauty of Texas’ rolling plains. Schools

In 2007, a 159 million dollar bond was passed to improve Victoria schools. Funds were allocated for 2 new high schools, 1 new middle school, 2 new elementary schools and a District Event Center. The is now the largest public school system in the Golden Crescent region with 15 elementary schools, three middle schools, a two-campus high school as well as a magnet high school, 103 total buildings, 14 athletic fields and more than 2,200 employees. Also in place within the VISD system are Magnet School programs, including a Montessori program, programs for gifted students, a campus at Devereau Foundation for those students with exceptional needs, one alternative program campus as well as a vocational education campus that offers classes in welding, computer networking, food management and production, cosmetology, auto repair and building trades.
