**Inpatient C&A Psychiatry opening near Hartford, CT**
* Located in ***Mansfield, CT *** - 25 miles from Hartford!
* Full-time, permanent opening
* Hospital-employed
* Inpatient only
* Involves conducting diagnostic evaluations, psychotherapy, and pharmacotherapy while collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide direct patient services, including assessments, treatment planning, and implementation of care
* Act as a clinical team leader, guiding other clinicians in formulating and executing treatment plans
* Champion quality improvement initiatives and work to minimize restraint and seclusion
* Ensure timely documentation of clinical interventions and discharge summaries
* Monitor risk indicators and address safety concerns promptly
* Communicate effectively with external providers, primary care physicians, schools, and families
* Provide rotational coverage for psychiatric services during various shifts and ensure continuity of care
* Supervise medical students, residents, and non-physician health professionals
**Qualifications:**
* Experience in child and adolescent inpatient care and evaluation services within a multidisciplinary team
* Board Certified (or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency) in Psychiatry
* Valid medical license and DEA certification
