Gastroenterology Long Term Coverage

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Gastroenterologist to join their team, offering Long-Term Coverage for 7 days per coverage block. The role will involve one or two weeks of coverage per month, with specific scheduled dates. This opportunity offers flexibility in scheduling, and we are looking for a provider who can offer consistent, high-quality care for both inpatient and outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Outpatient Procedures: Schedule 4-6 outpatient procedures per day, including screening colonoscopies and EGDs.
• Hospital Rounding: Morning rounding at 8:00 AM; additional rounds during the day based on patient volume.
• Call Coverage: Provide call coverage during evenings and weekends. No admissions typically required while on call.
• Collaboration: Work closely with PA on call, reviewing patient rounds at 8:00 AM each day.
• Endoscopy Procedures: Conduct endoscopic procedures in an efficient and patient-centered manner.

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Gastroenterology.
• Licensure: Must hold an active Pennsylvania State License.
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS.
• DEA Required: Yes.

Coverage Schedule:

• Start Time: Friday at 5:00 PM
• End Time: Following Friday at 5:00 PM
