Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our team in Pennsylvania, offering locum tenens coverage for 7 days per block. The role will involve one or two weeks of coverage per month, with specific scheduled dates. This opportunity offers flexibility in scheduling, and we are looking for a provider who can offer consistent, high-quality care for both inpatient and outpatient services.
Responsibilities
- 1:4 call rotation or up to 3 weeks/month
- 24-hour call and rounding (Friday 5 PM – Friday 5 PM)
- 14 estimated shifts per month
- Morning rounds starting at 8:00 AM with PA collaboration
- Perform 4–6 outpatient procedures daily (primarily screening colonoscopies)
- Weekday APP support (8 AM – 5 PM, no weekends)
- Nights & weekends: physician works independently
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Must hold an active Pennsylvania State License
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS.
- DEA Required: Yes
