**Senior Medical Director Pathology opening in Ohio**
Seeking a Board-Certified Pathologist to serve as Senior Medical Director for a well-established, hospital-employed general pathology practice in ***Portsmouth, OH***. A Cytopathology fellowship is preferred but not required.
**Position Details:**
* Full-time role in a 3-pathologist practice
* Call coverage: 1:3 (approximately 17 weeks/year, mostly phone-based)
* Office hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm; every third Saturday
* Leadership experience preferred
**Practice Highlights:**
* CAP-accredited facility
* Case Load: ~9,500-10,000 surgical cases/year, ~1,000-1,500 non-GYN cytology cases/year, ~7,000 GYN cases/year
* Focus on Breast, Lung, and GI pathology (no autopsies, neuro, or pediatric cases)
* Supported by Histotechs, Cytotechnologists, Tech Assistants, and Administrative Leadership
* Technology: Meditech and Dragon Medical One
**Expectations:**
* Lead and support pathology team
* Maintain satisfactory turnaround time
* Participate in weekly tumor board meetings
* Oversee CAP accreditation surveys
