Job Description
We are seeking a Radiation Oncologist for short-term locum coverage at a comprehensive outpatient oncology facility in Illinois. This opportunity ensures continuity of care for patients actively undergoing radiation treatment while a provider is on leave.
Here's a quick overview:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- No weekends, no call
- Outpatient, multidisciplinary cancer center
- Estimated Shifts/Month: 7
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care for patients undergoing radiation treatment
- Conduct follow-up visits and monitor ongoing cases
- Collaborate closely with radiation therapy and medical oncology teams
- Review and approve treatment plans
- Ensure safe, high-quality, and timely cancer care during provider’s absence
Requirements:
- Board Certified (MD or DO)
- Active Illinois medical license (required at time of application)
- DEA and Illinois CSR required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience
