Job Description

Starr Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced, Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join our established, hospital-employed surgical practice in Athens, Tennessee, conveniently located between Knoxville and Chattanooga.

This opportunity is ideal for a surgeon who is comfortable practicing independently and is looking to step into an established program with a strong referral network, experienced colleagues, shared call coverage, and access to Da Vinci robotic technology. The practice offers a broad bread-and-butter general surgery case mix with the resources and support of a hospital-employed setting.

Position Highlights

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Tennessee
  • Prior general surgery practice experience required
  • Robotic surgery training/experience required
  • Ability to independently manage a broad general surgery caseload
  • Endoscopy experience preferred
