Hospitalist needed in Mattoon, IL
3 hours to Chicago; 2 hours to St Louis; 1.5 hours to Springfield, IL
Service area of 50,000 people
Salary:(subject to updates - may need updated)
The previous quality bonus has also been removed and that amount has been rolled into the salary.
Option 1: $375,000 for 2184 worked hours (7 on/7 off). 182 shifts per year (no PTO)
Option 2: $325,500 for 1880 worked hours. (7 on/7 off) with scheduled time off by request with reasonable notice. 156 shifts per year.

Centrally located in Coles County, Health Center is a 128-bed, non-profit regional hospital located in East Central Illinois - 180 miles south of Chicago and 130 miles east of St. Louis.
The Health Center provides a full range of acute-care, general services and home health services to approximately 357,000 residents of Coles and the surroundings 12 counties. The Health Center's active and consulting medical staff includes 145 providers representing 28 specialties. Some of the services provided by the Health Center include: Regional Cancer Center, Outpatient Surgery Center, Women & Children's Services, Level II Perinatal Unit, Adult Care Unit, Behavioral Health Services, Radiology and Imaging Services, Cardiovascular Services including Cardiac Rehabilitation and Cardiac Cathetherization Lab, and Gastroenterology and Special Procedures and Laboratory.
Most employees enjoy a drive to work of less than 15 minutes door-to-door which gives them additional time to spend with their families and doing the sorts of leisure activities they enjoy. The communities offer us a feeling of security as the crime rate is very low. You'll know many of your neighbors and fellow town residents.
A wide variety of excellent housing and real estate exists within the community. Both the primary and secondary schools are AAA rated. College level education is available at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston and at Lake Land College in Mattoon.
