Job Description:

UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Critical Care Cardiologist Physician. UPMC, a national and global leader in advanced heart failure, cardiac transplant, and cardiogenic shock treatment with the best 90‑day heart transplant survival rate in the U.S., seeks a highly qualified full‑time cardiologist, for a non‑tenure clinical track position.

This role is based at UPMC Presbyterian in the new Kamin Tower, located in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for critically ill cardiovascular patients in a high-acuity Cardiac Critical Care Unit and collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary teams. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a quaternary care setting with access to advanced cardiovascular therapies, cutting -edge clinical research, and a robust educational mission. 

Key responsibilities include management of complex cardiovascular conditions including advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, acute MI, mechanical circulatory support, and structural heart disease complications. Engaging in clinical research and participating in teaching and mentoring fellows and residents is essential to this role and our commitment to patient-centered, team-based care. 

Qualified candidates must be board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
