Cooper University Health Care is the regional leader in comprehensive neurological care, providing advanced services to a diverse population with needs ranging from common conditions to the most complex. Our specialists collaborate closely with neurosurgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, psychiatry, and neuropsychology teams.
The Department of Neurology includes 29 physicians and 15 APPs, with continued expansion. Cooper was the first Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in South Jersey and is a level IV epilepsy center certified by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers. We use the EPIC electronic medical record system.
The Neurology Residency Program at Cooper University Hospital is a four-year categorical program committed to high-quality patient care, community outreach, education, and clinical research. Faculty appointments are available through Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, with roles focused on outpatient care, medical education, and research.
2025 Recruitment Opportunities:
- Neuro-Ophthalmology: Full-time outpatient position. We offer a fully equipped clinical space with two exam rooms, two part-time ophthalmic technicians, and an orthoptist.
- Epileptologist—Full-time, mid-career preferred. This role includes inpatient and outpatient care and EEG reading (routine, EMU, Ceribell).
- Neuro-Oncologist: Full-time outpatient position for a neurologist specializing in oncology. The role collaborates with our neuro-oncology team and leverages our partnership with MDA Cancer Center.
- Neuromuscular Neurologist—Full-time, early- or mid-career preferred. This role includes inpatient and outpatient care
