**Physician Assistant / Associate | General Surgery Opening in Maine**
* Located in Bangor, Maine
* Full-time/permanent opening
* Medical Center is seeking a part-time Physician Assistant to join our busy, growing practice in Bangor, Maine.
* The Physician Assistant will function as a surgical first assist for all surgical sub-specialties and provide weekday inpatient coverage of all non-ICU surgical patients on the surgical unit.
Responsibilities Include:
* First assist all surgical sub-specialties at EMMC.
* Pre-and Post-operative assessments.
* Evaluate, diagnose and implement treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and nursing staff.
* Ensure continuity of care through sign-out from overnight PA coverage.
* Daily participation in multidisciplinary rounds (MDR), care coordination, and discharge planning.
* Respond to urgent/emergent clinical issues.
* Collaborate with attending services to provide appropriate, timely care in effort to reduce morbidity, mortality, and length of stay.Interact with and clinically supervise allied health personnel as assigned for patient management.
* Maine Physician Assistant and DEA Licenses (or immediate eligibility) required.
