Summary:

Responsible for comprehensive administrative, managerial and operational leadership of the Cancer Treatment Center and Bossier CTC. Responsibilities include measurable accountability for quality patient care, operations, financial management, strategic planning, interdepartmental and intradepartmental relations. Departments include radiation oncology, medical oncology, chemotherapy, and administrative areas including cancer data, cancer research, and social services. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements strategic plan to maintain and grow market position.
  • Develops and recommends department operating budget for six (6) cost centers and ensures departments operate within approved budget.
  • Develops and recommends capital equipment plan for growth and management of existing capital equipment, specifically radiation oncology. Assures appropriate ROI and profitability of equipment.
  • Develops, maintains, and implements appropriate charge master for all revenue producing department that comply with CHRISTUS and compliance guidelines.
  • Manages a sound and effective charge capture system specifically for the departments of chemotherapy and radiation oncology.
  • Assures appropriate case management and coding of patients in a complex service line.
  • Assesses and stays abreast of oncology reimbursement issues, assures health system is in compliance and that appropriate reimbursement is realized.
  • Works closely with Physician Practice Management to assure appropriate production, efficient systems, charge capture and reimbursement for employed physician practices.
  • Works closely with Physician Development to assure appropriate compliment of physicians in radiation therapy and hematology/oncology.
  • Collaborates with the cancer committee, cancer data, registry, research, community outreach, and clinical management to meet and adhere to the standards of the American College of Surgeons (ACOS). 

Requirements:

Education/Skills 

  • Bachelor's degree required. 

Experience

  • Prior experience in managing budgets, prior experience in developing and executing strategic and business development plans that achieve expected goals and objectives.
