Why This Role?

• Consistent volume in a well-equipped birthing center


• Work with residents in a supportive teaching environment

Duration: Ongoing

Coverage Type: In-House Call

Schedule: 6:45a - 7:00a shifts; 24-hour shifts with 24 hours off between shifts

Clinical Details:

• Level 2 NICU and Nursery


• Delivers at 32 weeks and above with neonatologist consult


• Approx. 2,000 deliveries per year (5-10 per 24-hour shift)


• Elective inductions with Pitocin performed


• No midwives; no APPs


• Supervision of residents required


• Onsite lab and ultrasound


• EMR: Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certified in OBGYN


• Minimum 2-3 years of experience


• Active MI license


• ACLS


• BLS


• NRP


• Clean history

Skills Needed:

• Hospital-based obstetric coverage including vaginal deliveries and C-sections


• Supervision of OB residents


• Management of emergency OB/GYN presentations
