Pediatric Intensivist - Call From Home - 30 minutes from Beautiful Charleston, South Carolina
ResponsibilitiesPediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Intensivist to join our pediatric inpatient and critical care team at Summerville Medical Center (SMC)—just 30 minutes from Charleston!
Your Clinical Scope
- 6-bed PICU with 2 observation beds
- Level III NICU support
- Telephone consult available with quaternary care center 45 minutes away
- Inpatient pediatric floor + ER consults
- In-house days, home call at night
- Teaching opportunities with family medicine residents
- Procedures include: intubations, LPs, line/chest tube placement, CPR
- 2024 Census: 373 pediatric admits, 85 PICU admits, ADC: 4.1
Subspecialty Support
- Onsite: Pediatric Surgery, GI, ENT, Anesthesia, Radiology
- Telemedicine: Pediatric Cardiology
- Actively recruiting Pediatric Neurology
