Responsibilities

Are you a passionate and skilled Ob/Gyn Hospitalist looking to make a significant impact in a vibrant Community? We are seeking dedicated Ob/Gyn Hospitalists to join our team at Desert Regional Medical Center in beautiful Palm Springs, CA.  

  • Responsibilities include delivery attendance, OB triage, patient evaluation/management, surgical assists, fetal monitoring and ER coverage
  • There will be two Ob/Gyn Hospitalists in-house daily
  • Practice attends about 60 deliveries per month
  • 30-bed community Level-III NICU/newborns 23 weeks and above
  • Teaching opportunities with residents and medical students
  • 387-bed tertiary acute care facility and is the only Level I Trauma Center in Coachella Valley, serving more than 8,000 square miles of Southeastern California

Regular full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis.  Regular full-time team members are eligible for the following:

NOTE: Team members at least 21 years old and are active full-time or part-time employee are eligible to participate in our 401(k) Plan at the time of hire.  Team members who meet the plan’s minimum age requirement can enroll in the plan at any time, and contributions will begin as soon as administratively possible. 

Team Members are eligible to begin participating in the ESPP if they have been employed by Pediatrix for two consecutive months prior to the start of each calendar quarterly offering period and are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for five consecutive months during the year. 

Paid Sick Leave

Eligible full-time team members will receive a lump-sum grant of 40 hours or five days, whichever is more beneficial to the team member, of paid sick leave each year on January 1. A newly hired full-time team member will receive a prorated lump-sum grant after working for 90 days. A lumpsum grant will then be provided on January 1 in each subsequent year as long as the team member remains eligible. Unused sick leave granted under this policy does not carry over from one year to the following year.

NOTE: The Company will not pay team members for unused sick leave upon termination of employment.

Pay Range:  Base compensation is $249,600 - $350,400
