Job Description

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Setting: Outpatient-only clinic with no call and no weekends

Position Highlights

  • Patient Volume: Approximately 50 patients per week
  • Patient Mix: 60% adult / 40% pediatric
  • Visit Type: Combination of scheduled and walk-in visits
  • Community Size: ~8,000 residents
  • EHR: Cerner
  • Travel Access: 4 commercial flights daily to Seattle

Position Structure & Compensation

  • Employment Type: Preferred as Relief Physician (1099 contractor)
  • Pay Rate: $150/hour DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outpatient primary care to a diverse patient population
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
  • Provide preventive health education and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with other clinic staff in a team-based care model
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation using Cerner
  • Contribute to quality initiatives and continuous care improvements

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school
  • Active license to practice in any U.S. state, DC, or Puerto Rico
  • Must be eligible for (or already hold) an Alaska license for direct tribal hire
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Must pass background check under P.L. 101-630 (for positions involving children/families)
