Job Description

Portneuf Medical Group, located in picturesque Pocatello, Idaho, is excited to welcome an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to our exceptional Heart Team at the Portneuf Heart & Vascular Institute. We seek a dynamic, motivated professional who is passionate about delivering superior patient care in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.

 

Position Overview:

  • First assist in cutting-edge Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgeries.
  • Expertise in Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH) required.
  • Admitting service: actively manage and coordinate inpatient care, ensuring continuity from admission to discharge.
  • Collaborate closely with an experienced and supportive team of Cardiothoracic Surgeons, fellow APPs, nurses, and specialists.
  • Join a robust, established team of APPs, ensuring collaborative support and professional growth.
  • Access to the latest technology in cardiac care, including advanced valvular interventions, minimally invasive procedures, and state-of-the-art facilities for ECMO, TAVR, robotic surgery, and Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) placement.
  • Work at a modern, 200+-bed hospital featuring a 20-bed ICU, Level II Trauma Center, and Epic EMR system.
  • Exceptional quality of life with clearly defined work schedules and a supportive team environment.
Requirements: 
  • Minimum 3 years of Cardiothoracic and Vascular APP experience.
  • Proficiency with Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH), Radial Artery Harvesting is a Plus!
  • Active Idaho license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Certifications in BLS and ACLS (preferred).
