Job Details
This position involves providing direct patient care in accordance with established clinic protocols, in both outpatient and, when necessary, inpatient settings.
Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care within the scope of primary care medicine in outpatient and, in certain circumstances, inpatient settings.
Examine, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
Provide care that reflects health care cost consciousness and addresses social determinants of health.
Utilize a team-based care model, leveraging the expertise of all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
Maintain accurate electronic health records of patients, completing documentation in a timely manner.
Skills & Knowledge
Experience working with low-income populations is preferred.
Proficiency with computers and typing/keyboarding skills required.
Knowledge of health insurance plans is preferred.
Ability to train and teach staff is required.
Familiarity with standard office policies and procedures preferred.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including CLIA and OSHA standards, is preferred.
Ability to work with practice management software is required.
Hospital privileges may be required.

Qualifications
Education (Preferred)
Doctorate/PhD or better in Medicine or related field.
Master’s degree or better in Nursing.
Experience (Preferred)
Two years of relevant work experience is preferred, with experience in Family Practice and team-based care being a plus.
Licenses & Certifications (Required)
Family Nurse Practitioner certification.
