Breast Surgeon: UPMC York Memorial


UPMC Central Pennsylvania is seeking a board-certified General Surgeon with fellowship training or significant experience in breast surgery to join UPMC Memorial Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. This position offers the opportunity to deliver high‑impact, community‑based care while benefiting from the resources, collaboration, and academic connections of University of Pittsburgh Physicians & Hillman Cancer Center.


The role also includes the opportunity to serve in a leadership/directorship capacity within the York Cancer Program, allowing you to play a key role in shaping and advancing breast cancer care in a dynamic, patient‑focused community setting.

·       UPMC Central Pa has been accredited by the prestigious National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers since 2010

·       All UPMC Central Pa breast surgeons are ultrasound certified and offer oncoplastic surgery, including Hidden Scar surgery; UPMC Central Pa is one of just three Centers of Excellence for Hidden Scar surgery in the state of Pennsylvania

·       UPMC Central Pa, with its focus on quality and patient satisfaction, has dominant market share in breast cancer care

·       UPMC breast care team is comprised of physicians who have trained at the nation's best cancer programs

·       Comprehensive program includes a multidisciplinary team approach, including breast dedicated medical oncologists, nurse navigators and close collaboration with medical and radiation oncologists

·       Wide range of support services includes genetic counseling, nurse navigators, support groups, social work, nutritional counseling, oncology rehab and lymphedema services, survivorship program, breast and eyebrow tattooing, and Paxman Scalp Cooling System.

·       The Breast Surgery team shares call and does not take general surgery call.
