Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology Locums Pacific Northwest | Nov 2025 Start

A leading health system in the Pacific Northwest is seeking Advanced Heart Failure or Critical Care Cardiology locums coverage starting November 17, 2025, ongoing. This is a strictly Advanced Heart Failure role (no transplant) with a heavy critical care focus. Providers will work in tandem with three staff cardiologists in a highly specialized environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inpatient rounding on assigned and unassigned patients (average census: 10–12)

• Serve as primary attending for ECMO and LVAD patients

• Participate in the hospital’s shock program

• Manage advanced cardiac support devices: ECMO, VV/VA Impella, and durable LVADs

• Provide daytime inpatient coverage (7am–7pm) and night call (7pm–7am) during scheduled week

Qualifications:

• Fellowship-trained in Advanced Heart Failure or Critical Care Cardiology

• Active Washington medical license or IMLC eligibility

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology

• Proficient in managing mechanical circulatory support devices (ECMO, Impella, LVADs)

Working Hours:

• Schedule: 1 week on / 3 weeks off (Monday 7am – Monday 7am)

• Inpatient coverage: 7am–7pm daily

• Night call: 7pm–7am during scheduled week

• Overtime applies after 12 hours per day, not 40 hours per week

• Advanced Heart Failure management

• ECMO (VV and VA)

• Impella (including high-risk shock support)

• Durable LVAD management

• Critical care cardiology consults

• Inpatient rounding and call coverage
