• Patient Volume: 37,000
• Specialties: OBGYN, Orthopedic, General Surgery, Critical Care, ICU, Lab, Stroke Care, Radiology, Imaging, Neuroscience
• Coverage Model: Physicians work 7a-7p and 7p-7a; NPPAs work 9a-9p and 6p-6a
• Number of Beds: 26 ED beds
• EMR: Cerner (PowerNote ED) with Dragon capabilities

Qualifications

• Education: MD/DO with a three-year residency
• Board Certification: ABEM/ABOEM
• Experience: emergency medicine residency/ continuous work in the emergency medicine environment.

About South Texas Health System McAllen: South Texas Health System McAllen, formerly known as McAllen Medical Center, is a 441-bed hospital that is the only designated advanced Level I Trauma Center for Hidalgo County, and its NICU remains the region's only neonatal surgical center.
