  • 17K annual combined ED volume
  • 204 hospital beds
  • 24 hours physician coverage
  • 8 hours NP/PA coverage
  • ABEM/ABEOM, IM or FP with ER experience
  • BE/BC-must be certified within 7 years of completing residency
  • ATLS required if not ABEM/ABOEM certified

LewisGale Hospital Alleghany, located in Low Moor, VA, is a full-service community hospital licensed for approximately 204 beds. As part of the HCA Virginia network, the hospital serves residents of the Alleghany Highlands, Rockbridge County, and even parts of West Virginia, delivering high-quality healthcare close to home.
The facility offers a broad range of specialty services including a fully accredited Chest Pain Center, emergency medicine with advanced communication systems, a surgical unit with multiple operating rooms (including robotic-assisted surgery), orthopedic services (such as total hip and knee replacements), and a dedicated senior behavioral health unit ("Senior Transitions") for patients age 55 and older.
