Inpatient Cardiology Locums Montana | ASAP Start, Ongoing

A leading health system in Montana is seeking Inpatient Cardiology locums coverage starting ASAP on an ongoing basis. This role offers a balanced schedule of 12- and 24-hour shifts, strong APP support, and a straightforward consultative call structure. The assignment will cover inpatient cardiology service lines during a long-term permanent search.

Job Responsibilities:

• Round on 10–20 inpatients per shift (assigned and unassigned)
• Provide consultative coverage for hospitalists and regional transfers (primarily phone calls)
• Read inpatient echocardiography and nuclear studies
• Perform inpatient TEEs
• Collaborate with APP resources for patient management
• Cover 1–2 nights of call per week (consultative only)

Qualifications:

• Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in Cardiology (Non-Invasive / General)
• Licensable in Montana (open to out-of-state providers)
• Proficient in inpatient cardiology procedures (TEE, echo, nuclear reads)
• Comfortable with ICU-level inpatient care

Working Hours:

• 12-hour in-house shifts (6a–6p)
• 24-hour blended shifts (6a–6a: 12 hrs in-house, 12 hrs call)
• Call coverage: consultative, 1–2 nights/week
