Anesthesiology Locums Northern California (Level 3 Trauma)

Daily Care Solutions is seeking board-certified Anesthesiologists for a locums assignment in Northern California. This is a Level 3 trauma facility with a diverse surgical case mix. Coverage is needed starting November 1, 2025, and ongoing. Candidates must hold an active CA medical license to be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide anesthesia services for a broad range of procedures, including:

  • Orthopedic (complete)

  • Complex vascular

  • Head/spine

  • Neuro

  • Obstetrics

  • Pediatric

  • Regional

  • Thoracic

• Cover scheduled clinic/OR hours plus call (weekday, nights, weekends).

• Collaborate with existing anesthesia team; willingness to share nights/weekends is required.

• Maintain accurate documentation, including case logs, as part of privileging.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified in Anesthesiology.

• Active California license required.

• CA DEA preferred but not required.

• Must have 2 years of recent hospital-based anesthesia practice.

• No significant clinical gaps (>3 months) without explanation.

• Willingness to work both day shifts and nights/weekends.

Working Hours & Call Structure:

• Weekday shifts: variable 8–12 hours (e.g., 7a–7p, 3p–11p).

• Call: beeper call, with weekend coverage as follows:

  • Weekend Day 1: 7a–7p (12 hrs, guaranteed)

  • Weekend Day 2: 7a–7a (24-hr 2nd call)

  • Weekend Nights: 7a–7a (24-hr 1st call at night)

• Providers will start on day shifts before rotating into nights.

• Overtime: applies after 12 hours, must be pre-approved by the Medical Director.

• Guaranteed: 8 hours minimum/day.

Skills:

• Proficiency across full-scope hospital anesthesia (including high-acuity and trauma).

• Strong adaptability to variable shift lengths and call schedules.

• Collaborative, team-based mindset.
