Job Description
Join a collaborative team at UP Health System–Bell in Ishpeming, MI, and provide full-scope midwifery care within a supportive Lifepoint Health network. You’ll have access to the resources, technology, and colleagues needed to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while contributing to a positive workplace culture focused on professional growth and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope Certified Nurse Midwife services: initial OB exams, routine prenatal and postpartum care, routine labor management, patient education, annual wellness visits, contraceptive counseling, and family planning.
- Perform GYN exams and manage acute visits.
- Collaborate closely with hospital-based services including emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and ambulance teams.
- Take first call for laboring patients.
- Average patient volume: ~20 patients per day.
Team and Setting
- Work alongside two OB/GYN physicians in a 25-bed critical access hospital.
- Practice within Lifepoint Health’s regional system, benefiting from shared resources and practice growth support.
