UPMC Heart & Vascular Institute in Harrisburg, PA is hiring a STRUCTURAL INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST

 

The UPMC Heart & Vascular Institute is inviting applications to join our renowned structural heart division in Central Pennsylvania. Our cardiovascular institute is comprised of over 60 cardiology colleagues with a massive referral base with specialists in imaging, electrophysiology, interventional, vascular and structural heart. The position is supported by APP, RN, and ancillary staff to assist in seeing a full spectrum of patients needing structural heart evaluation and procedure, this is inclusive of a research arm. We are looking for a dedicated structural heart interventionist with outstanding skills who is passionate about delivering exceptional care to the patients in central Pennsylvania.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients in the valve clinic in Harrisburg and other outreach locations
  • Inpatient rounds and management of patients on structural heart service
  • Be able to perform TAVR, Transcatheter mitral and tricuspid repair and replacement, left atrial appendage occlusion, ASD, PFO, VSD and Perivalvular leak repair
  • Perform left and right heart catheterizations and PCI on valvular heart disease patients
  • Interest and actively participate in clinical research trials that include first in human, early feasibility, industry, and other investigator-initiated studies
  • Participate in STEMI and PERT Call
  • Teaching and training of cardiovascular medicine fellows and other learners

Job Prerequisites:

  • Completion of ABIM certified Interventional Fellowship with additional dedicated one year training in structural heart interventions
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience since last fellowship
  • Track record of participation in clinical trials/research and publications
