**Assignment Details**
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Schedule: Full-time; weekdays and weekends
- Patients per Day: 10+
- Call Details: 24-hour beeper call; 30-minute response time; 100% call ratio and callback rate; 6–10 phone consults; 2–10 admissions
- EMR: McKesson and Athena

**Requirements**
- Board Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Active NC license
- BLS
- Clean record

**Clinical Details**
- Scope: Inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology
- Typical Procedures:
- Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, bleeder cautery, variceal injection, PEG
- ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic required)
- Esophageal dilation and manometry
- Small bowel biopsy
- Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
- Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
- EUS and liver biopsy (preferred)
- Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management (preferred)
- Support: RN staff per hospital

**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility requests all-inclusive bids for:
- 24-hour call only
- 24-hour call with clinic hours
- Clinic only
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
