Employed Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity

Wonderful opportunity for a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join an existing group of Cardiologists who provide cardiology services to patients of the Detroit Medical Center health system in Metro Detroit, Michigan. 

DMC is academically affiliated with Wayne State University; Level1 trauma center located at Detroit Receiving Hospital and a Level2 trauma center located at Sinai Grace Hospital. Employment is through Tenet Physician Resources/DMC Medical Group.

This position provides services primarily to Sinai Grace Hospital, with additional coverage for Harper Hospital and Detroit Receiving Hospital (adult central campus) Monday-Friday. Weekends and holiday call coverage is shared with the group of two cardio thoracic surgeons. Outpatient clinic 1–2 days per week. OR time based on case load and consults from ER.  

Required inpatient rounding including the ICU units. A team of 2 cardiothoracic surgeons and 2 cardio thoracic surgical PAs are available to assist with rounding and call coverage.   

Requirements:

• Board certification
• Minimum of 3–5 years experience;
• Active Michigan medical License (or willingness to obtain)
• DEA
