Locums Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking a Locums Hospitalist Physician to provide coverage at multiple hospital sites near Midland, Michigan during the months of July through September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled internal medicine or family medicine-trained hospitalist with a flexible schedule and a desire to work in a supportive, high-quality healthcare environment.

 

Position Details:

 

• Location: Multiple hospital facilities near Midland, MI
• Availability Needed: July through September 2025
• Scheduling Options:
• 3–4 day stretches preferred
• Day Rounding: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Admitting Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Night Shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• EMR System: EPIC with Dragon dictation 

Responsibilities:

 

• Provide direct inpatient care including daily rounding, admissions, and overnight coverage
• Coordinate care with nursing staff, specialists, and case management
• Respond to acute changes in patient condition
• Complete documentation in EPIC using Dragon voice recognition 

Requirements:

 

• Completion of an ACGME-approved Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
• Certifications:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Licensure:
• Active Michigan medical license, or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) eligibility
• Prior inpatient hospitalist experience preferred
