 • Support Staff Available: RT, Psych, Teleintensivist, Ortho, General Surgery, OB/GYN, CRNA, mid-levels (occasionally)
 • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
 • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
 • Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days (fingerprinting required; typically 48 hours to post)
 • Orientation: 4 hours, non-billable

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
 • Emergency medicine procedures typical for a single-coverage ED physician
 • Management of neonates through geriatrics
 • Coordination of emergency support services

JOB REQUIREMENTS
 • Licenses: Active Minnesota license (Required)
 • Board: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (Required)
 • DEA: Required
 • Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS or CALS (Required)
 • Experience: Prior community site experience preferred
 • Other Qualifications: Experience with Epic EMR preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 • Provide emergency medicine coverage in a single-coverage ED setting
 • Manage 15–20 patients per shift, with seasonal increases to 25 patients
 • Deliver care across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
 • Collaborate with available specialty and support staff including Ortho, Surgery, OB/GYN, CRNA, and Psych
 • Document all patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR
