Position Summary:
A motivated and enthusiastic fellowship-trained Medical Hematologist/Oncologist is sought to join a collaborative team of physicians, APPs, and staff dedicated to delivering outstanding care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working with oncology and hematology patients throughout their treatment journey. This role offers opportunities to learn, grow, and provide individualized, innovative care to a diverse patient population.

Position Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of cancer and blood disorders.
• Develop treatment plans with measurable goals while incorporating patient preferences.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens as appropriate.
• Manage cancer-related pain, symptoms, and treatment side effects to maintain quality of life.
• Refer patients to specialists, palliative care, or other supportive resources when needed.
Position Overview:
• Outpatient role with some inpatient responsibilities
• Standard office hours: Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM
• Protected administrative time (8 hours per week)
• Shared call schedule: 1:4 rotation for patient care needs (supported by after-hours nurse triage)
• Dedicated clinic support staff, APP, and specialized oncology nursing team
• Current team: 4 physicians and 3 APPs
• EMR: Cerner with Dragon dictation
Current Patient Volume & Census:
• Average patient load: 15–20 patients per day
• Adult patient population with a broad spectrum of oncologic and hematologic conditions
Visit Types and Procedures:
• Case mix: ~40% Oncology, ~60% Hematology
• Visit types: New diagnoses, treatment planning, chemotherapy follow-ups, hematology management (e.g., anemia, clotting disorders)
• Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies, port insertions, etc.
Compensation & Benefits:
• Competitive base salary (typically MGMA median) plus WRVU bonus potential
