Gastroenterologist with focus on IBD at UPMC in Central Pa

UPMC is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist with an interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) to join a well-established, outpatient-focused gastroenterology practice within our Digestive Disorders program.

This role is ideal for a physician who enjoys building long-term patient relationships, practicing high-quality IBD care, and working within a collaborative, clinically driven environment.

Position Highlights

• Primarily outpatient practice with a focus on IBD care
• Manage patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, including biologic and advanced medical therapies
• Access to a strong multidisciplinary support team, including colorectal surgery, nutrition, radiology, and infusion services
• Minimal inpatient responsibilities, with support from hospital-based teams
• Established referral base and streamlined care pathways
• Flexibility to shape the role around clinical interests

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• IBD experience or strong clinical interest preferred
• Patient-centered approach with excellent communication skills
