JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Physician – Rheumatology
• Job Type: Locum Tenens (Full-Time)
• Location: Hanover, PA
• Service Setting: Outpatient clinic with limited hospital consults
• Coverage Type: Clinical + APP Supervision
• Coverage Period: Starting January 2, 2026 – Ongoing
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Coverage Details: 20 shifts/month (can be split between 2 providers, 10 each)
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental
• Support Staff Available: 2 PAs (APPs) – supervision required; RN & MA support
• EMR System: Epic
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults only
• Outpatient Volume: 12–16 per day (36 patient-facing hours/week)
• Hospital Consults: 0–5 per month (phone consults during office hours)
• Case Mix:
• Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis
• Lupus, Scleroderma, Sjogren’s Syndrome
• Gout, Osteoporosis, Vasculitis, Myopathies
• GCA, Temporal Arteritis, PMR, Sarcoidosis
• Reactive Arthritis, Raynaud’s Phenomenon, Wegener’s Granulomatosis, Polyarteritis Nodosa
• Positive ANA with systemic features (rash, joint swelling, pain, pleural effusion, pericarditis)
• Procedures: Joint injections
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Credentialing Timeline: ~90 days
• Licensure: Active Pennsylvania medical license (IMLC accepted)
• DEA: Required
• Certifications: BLS
• Board Status: BC/BE in Rheumatology
• Experience: Minimum 1 year
• Travel: Mileage, airfare, lodging, rental car
