**Why This Role**
- Provide anesthesia coverage for cataracts, scopes, and other minor procedures
- Independent CRNA role with surgeons present
- Consistent weekday shifts, no call

**Assignment Details**
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
- Schedule: Guaranteed 8-hour days; shifts vary depending on cases
- Setting: Outpatient and inpatient surgeries
- EMR: Epic (includes 4–5 hour orientation, compensated)
- Privileges: Required (~1 month credentialing)
- Trauma Level: IV
- ORs: 2 operating rooms with surgical techs, RNs, and other CRNAs
- Patient Volumes: 11–15 cataracts per day; plus 3–4 other procedures (e.g., colonoscopies, EGDs, total joints, carpal tunnel)
- Support Staff: Surgical techs, RNs, surgeons across multiple specialties

**Requirements**
- NBCRNA certified
- Active Iowa license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- COVID vaccine required
- Must be local/within driving distance (no exceptions)
- Not open to new grads

**Clinical Details**
- Required:
- General adult/pediatric surgery
- Minor nerve blocks
- IV regional anesthesia
- Spinal anesthesia
- Regional anesthesia
- Ventilation management
- Spinal anesthesia for total knees
- Common procedures: Cataracts, colonoscopies, EGDs, carpal tunnel, total hips and knees, other minor surgeries
- No pain management cases

**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Not eligible (local providers only)
