The Methodist Congenital Heart Institute and Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas seek a visionary physician leader to serve as Medical Director of Adult Congenital Heart Disease and a key member of the leadership team within the Methodist Congenital Heart Program.  This dynamic candidate would also be a leader in the international HCA Congenital Heart Collaborative, which includes the programs at Medical City Dallas, Rocky Mountain Children’s Hospital, Sunrise Hospital, and Portland Hospital, UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic direction, clinical oversight, and continued growth of a comprehensive ACHD program, integrated within a nationally recognized congenital heart institute and robust adult cardiology practice, Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio.

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving clinical excellence in adult congenital heart disease, ensuring seamless transitions of care from pediatric to adult services and maintaining the highest standards of patient outcomes.
• Leading recruitment efforts to attract top-tier ACHD specialists, advanced practice providers, and support staff to build a world-class multidisciplinary team.
• Fostering programmatic growth through innovative service line development, strategic partnerships, and expansion of regional outreach to meet the growing needs of the ACHD population.
• Championing academic and research initiatives, including collaboration with medical schools, participation in national and international congenital heart networks, and contributing to the advancement of ACHD knowledge and care.
• Engaging in business development activities to enhance visibility, strengthen referral relationships, and position the Institute as a leader in adult congenital heart care.
• Participating in the international HCA Congenital Heart Collaborative, contributing to global advancements in congenital heart disease across the lifespan.
