Locums Hematology Oncology Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology Oncology Physician for a locums opportunity in Richmond, Indiana. This position runs from April through December 2025, with a consistent Monday–Friday clinic schedule and shared weekend call. The role is primarily outpatient-focused, with hospital rounding and consults only when on primary call rotation.

 

Position Details:

• Schedule: Must be able to commit to 3 weeks per month plus call
• Clinic Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
• Call Rotation: Weekends – Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM, rotating with other providers
• Clinic Patient Volume: 18–20 patients/day
• On-Call Duties:
• Hospital consults and rounding (only when on primary call)
• Backup APP support included in rotation
• Procedures: None required

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology (must be certified within 5 years of residency)
• Active Indiana Medical License or eligibility via IMLC
• Minimum Experience: 2+ years preferred
• Certifications Required:
• ACLS (AHA-issued)
• BLS (AHA-issued)
• Flu Vaccination: Required (medical or religious exemption accepted)
