ResponsibilitiesPediatrix® Alaska Neonatology Associates is seeking a pediatric hospitalist to join our team in Anchorage, AK at Alaska Regional Hospital and Providence Alaska Medical Center.
- 5+ pediatric hospitalist team that shares a group practice with a team of neonatologists, providing hospital-based neonatal and pediatric services in southcentral Alaska at 2 sites: Providence Alaska Medical Center and Alaska Regional Hospital
- Shifts are 24 hours with call from home (20-minute response time required)
- Work includes attending in a Level II NICU at Alaska Regional with an average daily census < 3
- Level I newborn nursery care at Alaska Regional with an average daily census < 5
- Level I newborn nursery care at Providence Alaska Medical Center with an average daily census < 5
- Inpatient pediatrics at Alaska Regional with an average daily census < 1
- Attendance at high-risk deliveries (hospital has ~500 total annual deliveries; ~40% require in-person attendance)
- Provide consults as needed in the Emergency Department
- Involvement in program development and quality improvement activities is required
- Didactics and preceptor opportunities for 3rd year medical students and more advanced trainees on occasion.

- Prior Hospitalist experience preferred but not required
