In the years since then, the hospital has more than quadrupled in size and has made sound development decisions, propelling the organization as a major competitor in the local health care scene. Springhill Medical Center is the only tax-paying hospital in the Mobile Alabama area. The hospital supports the community with more than 2 million dollars in tax revenues annually, in addition to thousands of dollars in contributions each year to support numerous social programs in the area. All hospital profits go directly into new and upgraded services for patients. A family-owned business, Springhill continues to be a good corporate citizen and utilize advanced technology to better serve our patients.

Job Description

TeamHealth is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) to join our hospital medicine team at Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, Alabama!

Springhill Medical Center is a 270-bed acute care hospital located in Mobile, Alabama. Accredited by The Joint Commission, SMC has been an established healthcare institution in the Mobile community for more than four decades.

Opportunity Overview

Monday through Friday block schedule model
Full-time swing shifts; 6-hour shifts working 3p-9p (30 hours/per week)
No solo clinician coverage required; if you are hired for this role, you will work alongside a hospitalist physician and other advanced practice clinicians
No procedures required
Full specialty support
Typical swing shift responsibilities: handling new admissions to avoid any delays between shift changes
Average daily census is 112
